FAITH

Dearly Beloved in the LORD, our study today will be based on Faith. It is my prayer that by the end of this study, the LORD will instill in us all the true value and virtue of Faith. Faith is a confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, concept or thing. It is a firm belief in something with strong conviction for which there may be no proof. The above definitions are just my way of understanding what Faith is as a human being.

Let us now define Faith as children of God. Please turn your Bibles to Hebrews chapter 11. This chapter in the book of Hebrews defines Faith as it ought to be. I believe without any doubt that as Christians, we ought to abide by the teaching of this very chapter if ever we want to know about Faith, live with Faith and apply it to our daily lives.

How deep rooted is your Faith dearly beloved in the LORD? Remember the Centurion? His faith was not blind. He considered Jesus worthy and therefore had faith in HIM. He believed and trusted in Christ completely. Now that is what Faith is made up of.  Like the Centurion, I urge us all to nurture such Faith and like our forefather Abraham, I pray that we attain the kind of Faith that will permit us to walk in righteousness with the Almighty GOD.

Faith sets you in motion. Faith is not stagnant for it requires action. The level of your faith therefore causes you to do great exploits in the LORD. Abraham's faith set him on the highest peak. No faith has been found like his, like that of the Centurion, Jairus, Noah and Rahab. Remember the two blind men?! Their faith in Christ caused them to move, their faith set them in motion dearly beloved on the LORD. Same applies to the bleeding woman. True faith is shown by action - our actions determine/shows us what we actually belief in.
So I ask you, what do you seek of/from the LORD?

Do you believe that He can and will grant all your needs according to HIS riches in glory through Christ Jesus? Then build up the faith for HE said "Verily I say unto you, if ye have Faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do what is done to the fig tree, but even if ye shall say unto this mountain, be thou taken up and cast into the sea, it shall be done."

Forget not also that by virtue of faith, we are entitled to pray and fast. For by so doing, we move from strength to strength. Prayer is the assured way of feeding your faith and fasting is also the assured way of feeding your prayer! Dearly beloved, I will encourage you to note these scriptures for they carry in them messages that will promote our growth in Faith. Please read them when you get home;

*Hebrews  11     *James 2:17-26      *Mathew 8:5-10        *Mathew 21:21         *Acts 17-31

It is my prayer that when we stand before the LORD on that day, He will gladly look at us and repeat the same words Christ said unto the Centurion " Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great Faith , no, not in Israel."  The LORD will say, enter now into My Kingdom child for I searched the whole earth and none with a strong faith as yours was found!

Remember therefore that TRUST + BELIEF = FAITH  likewise  FASTING * PRAYER = FAITH.
